Mainly made of brass with 100% of its period finish with the inner dial produced from mother of pearl with its finely graduated scales.The compass North point and outer dial are marked with tritium light sources for use at night when taking bearings. The precise settlement of the liquid filled dial allows for rapid use in field conditions. Dial and back of the compass are both marked for the firm Francis Baker. Comes with its period leather carry case. I would class this example as in mint condition and according to many sites on the internet one of the best compasses in the world.
