3rd Pattern Commando Dagger.

A well used example with the blade having staining , minor pitting and a light sharpen. The blade has lost its fine tip but nothing that would not be seen on many used WW2 period daggers. The alloy grip still has a good amount of its copper flashing and a clear mold number 2 to the top of the pommel. Top pommel nut is made of brass. Some corrosion found to the alloy handle and cross guard. The leather scabbard, perhaps postwar,is again well used, might well have received some saddle soap to keep supple and a new top strap.
