WW2 Naval Casualty Medal Group. SS Ashrcrest. Cardiff Lad, Grangetown.

This little group recently turned up during a local Cardiff house clearance belonging to Henry Longhurst who was lost when the ship he served on,SS Ashcrest, was sunk in 1940 by U-140. Apparently Longhurst was from the Grangetown area of Cardiff. The medals are in nice condition, some cleaning, clean ribbons and medal entitlement slip. Slip has three medals ticked, Atlantic, 39/45 and the War medal. All found in the box that comes with this lot.
