WW1 French Adrian Steel Helmet with 1914-18 Combatants Brass Plate.

A very nice example with the shell free from any dents and over 95% of its period greenish hue paint over the blue factory finish including the front helmet plate. Later on the veteran was allowed to add the ''Soldat De La Grande Guerre'' brass plate to the front peak. There is one tiny hole punched to the back peak i presume for a wire so the veteran could hang up his souvenir helmet. The inside again with all its finish including the factory blue to the inside with what looks like a black 66 size stamp. The leather liner is complete and supple, but as seen in the photos, for some reason all liner tongue's have come adrift but present and attached to its period liner string.. Chinstrap is the period example, its complete, has come apart at some point, now with old glue repair. Great display item.
