Named WW2 South African Medal Group. Deserter.
Bevington was posted as a gunner to the 2st AA Bty C.A.B. in 1939 ending up in North Africa in 1940. It would appear he deserted at least twice being demoted once and was in Hospital on numerous occasions with Anxiety and neurosis. Bevington was taken off the general list on medical grounds being posted to the S.A.A.P.C. postal service in 1942 ending up with the G.H.Q. Postal unit. He was discharged in 1944. The medals are in nice used condition with the stars and African service medal being named and numbered to Bevington. Medals come with a copy of his service records.
