WW1 German Leather Helmet Chinstrap. M16 or Pickelhaube.

This is a period example in well used condition and found in this folded position as seen in the photos. The leather is strong even at the central position but please be aware this is for display only and you will not be able to use it if wishing to wear your lid! Both steel buckles have lost there finish and both end fittings are made from brass, sewn to the leather. This might well be a Pickelhaube example but would be perfect if wishing to add to any M16 helmet. The actual size from brass tip to brass tip is 19 inches.
