Red book relates to a Charles Spear who joined the WG in 1923 and discharged in Cairo in 1929 having served 7 years with the colours. Spears also served 5 years in the Reserve. Found inside the book was a 1944 dated type written note from Spears as part of the 180th provost company to an investigating officer on an incident when Sears was called out to investigate 4 drunk sailors who wanted to fight an American policeman. Would appear Spears was part of the Royal Military Police during WW2.
