WW2 Identified Military Chaplins Uniform Group. Captain Ronald Joblin.

I was lucky enough last Sunday to purchase this grouping from the daughter of Captain Joblin, she lives in Cardiff. The Economy pattern SD jacket is in very nice condition with one good moth nip to the front above the Medal ribbon bar. There are, i would say, around 6 other nips to the material and ive just notice a little cluster to the bottom front corner but if you cannot see them in the photos folks its nothing major! All Chaplin department buttons are present as are both Chaplin collar dogs and black rank pips. The Burma service ribbon bar is nicely hand sewn above the pocket. The inside lining is complete with its side wound dressing pocket, just a little wear the neck area. No inner pockets or labels. The matching trousers again in nice condition with around 6 moth nips mainly around the crotch area, nothing very noticeable. All fly buttons present, rear pocket button missing. The private purchase side cap again in very nice condition with two moth nips to one side, front buttons are the Chaplin department examples but for some reason the cap badge is missing but an easy find to replace. Also found amongst the group was Joblins long socks, uniform tie, SD jacket cloth belt with buckle, two KD shoulder boards, two period storage bags and a very nice pair of chamois leather officers gloves. The Sam Brown belt rig is in nice used condition and matches perfectly with the copy photo that Margaret, the daughter, was kind enough to print, of her father wearing this exact uniform set. Lastly found amongst the grouping was a cardboard box with three Japanese collar rank insignia, obviously brought home as a souvenir of his Burma service. The daughter also sent me via email two photos of her father taken from a private photo album of her fathers service in Burma. One photo of him wearing a slouch hat and KD jacket, the other titled ''civilised war'' showing some dead bodies. The family is keeping the album and i will send over copies of these two photos to the new owner. A very nice named grouping and perfect for display and research.
