The condition of this example would be rated at close to mint, perhaps unissued. The outside factory finish is close to 100% complete with minor scratches from storage and a little amount of rust spotting underneath, again from storage. The pins are very tight with two having black colored heads with the back one being blue. These pins have not been messed with and correctly factory installed, just happened that the pin box had a mix of black and blue head pins. The inside finish again close to 100% with a clear rear stamp and lot number for the Quist firm. The liner and chinstrap have never been worn in my opinion just some staining along the edge of the liner from being stacked on top of another lid. The liner string is the period factory issue example. All in all a very nice helmet in super condition.
