WW2 US Cattaraugus 2250 Quatermaster Utility Knife.

Having been found in a local shed this week in the Cardiff area this example has lots of wear and some rust bleed. The blade has some sharpening to the cutting edge and some minimal rust bleed to the tip area and of course some staining, the end has clear makers details and number code. The hilt has some staining mixed with its period factory finish. The leather stacked ring handle has some minor dryness with just two minor cracks to two top rings only and it has its rough factory abrasion to the center as found on wartime examples. Somehow the tang has one area of damage inside the three ringed top pommel and in not sure how this would have happened but does not effect the dagger at all. The original leather scabbard again with some minor dryness and loose stitching to the point area and top sides. The top securing strap is fine as is the closer popper. A nice shed find with an easy task to clean up and bring back to a collectable condition.
