1847 Pattern German DRK Brass Belt Buckle.

This is a pre WW1 buckle for an enlisted man in the German Red Cross with the stepped sides and being slightly bigger than later buckles, around 2 inches in height. Condition is very nice with some slight surface wear as expected from such an old example. The rear has its period back bar and both fixing prongs.
