Boer War/ WW1 Period Named and Regimental Marked Clasp Knife. Buffs.

The number might suggest that ''Ford'' served during the Boer war but his numbering might also suggest an early WW1 period. The knife has had lots of service with both blade and tin opener seeing better days, neither is maker marked. The most interesting thing of course is the name, regiment and regimental number that could make this a nice item to research!
