WW2 Iron Cross First Class Screwback. L55, Wachtler & Lange.

A very nice example with the iron center having over 90% of its black factory finish, slight rub to the right hand arm and loss of paint to the central swastika. The tight two piece frame has taken on a very nice near black patina, details are strong to the beading. The rear has its period fixing plate with the back of the cross having a nice amount of its period finish. At the bottom there can be seen a faint L55 stamp. Nice to find a cross that was obviously worn during the time.
