WW2 British Officers Service Jacket and Visor Cap. R.Engineers, Burma.

The jacket is an early style with false cuffs, large bottom bellow pockets and sharp pointed pocket flaps. The material is a very nice early heavy type and i cannot find an moth nips or grazing, jacket is made by the London firm ''Hector Brown'' according to the inside label. There is some minor wear to the button holes as expected from a used jacket especially if used in the Far East. Some minor stains only. The inside lining has some wear and storage staining, sorry to say no name label so jacket is not identified. This jacket came with a very nice Indian made officers service cap, again i cannot find any moth nips, just some minor storage stains. The cap badge is a very nice two piece example, i can see a London makers stamp when looking. The inside lining again with some service wear and storage staining, this would clean with a damp cloth for sure. The label states the maker as '' Phelps & Co'' of Delhi and Simla. Found inside the bottom pocket was a box of the officers buttons and collar dogs etc. All in all a very nice untouched example that was purchased last week locally from the Grand daughter.
