Massive Victorian Spear Point Bowie Knife. NO PAYPAL PAYMENTS PLEASE.

This is a gorgeous massive Victorian example thats in very nice condition considering its age folks. The just over 11.5 inch blade has some minor staining with its factory buffed grain still visible. Cutting edges have not been sharpened, just a couple of tiny knocks from storage, blade has its period tip. Blade has no makers stamps or other details. Blade width is one and three quarter inches. The hilt and shield to the center of the handle appears to be some sort of white metal perhaps what they call German silver but im not 100% sure. The tortoise shell grip plates are in very nice condition with no chips or cracks just one slight wear patter from use to one side. Handle measures just over 5 inches and the cross guard is 3.5 inches long. Its period leather scabbard has the same white metal mounts as the dagger with a few minor knocks to the bottom chape and of course dark staining from its age. The leather has some suppleness but rather hard with one hole to one side under the bottom mount, the stitching is complete. Its a pity that this Bowie is unmarked and would make a perfect item to collect and display.
