HMS Crane Souvenir Wooden Box.

Nice wooden hand made box measuring 8x5x3 inches with a very nice hand rendered image of the HMS Crane motif in pexiglass. HMS Crane was a modified Black Swan Sloop launched in 1942, commissioned in 42. Performed convoy escort roles in the Atlantic before supporting the Normandy landings and finaly service with the pacific fleet during the battle of Okinawa. Post war the ship took part in the Korean war, Suez and the Malayan Emergency.
