British Black 1914 Pattern Open Top Pistol Holster. Police?

Closest pattern i can find would be the 1914 pattern but without the central buckle strap. Anyway this 1957 dated example is in very good complete condition with clear makers and date stamp to the closing strap. Some white paint splatter from storage. Im thinking this might well have been used by the Police, home service or North Ireland. As usual with these well used examples the top fixing strap has some ''play'' but still tightly held to the body.
