WW2 Polish Army Pay Book, Certificate of Registration and Medals.
The pay book is a duplicate so sorry to say its only got the first page filled with his name, Kazimierz Calak and service number 30041080 but does have a nice photo of him in Army uniform. Found in the back is his ''Aliens'' Certificate of Registration with his photo and more details. It would appear that Calak was from Warsaw and born in 1916, served in the Polish army from 22/7/1940 till 47, he arrived in the UK in 22/7/1940. Hi occupation in Poland is listed as a tailor. Calak joined the Polish Resettlement Corps on the 25/1/47 but released in April of that year as he found employment as a tailor in Folkstone. The books last stamp, Aliens department, J-division Kent police, is dated 1961 when Calak was free from further registrations. These two books where found with a number of WW2 medals including The Polish War medal i believe is a first patter Spink example. Also found amongst the group is a ''MG'' arm patch and a European 800 stamped silver sports medal. I may add that the large document also found in the back of his pay book has not been filled in. Plenty of research possibilities im sure.
