Manufactured from sections of compressed fiber and riveted together. This example is in very nice condition with its early type liner, donut top pad, and orange rubber chinstrap as used on early British Fire Helmets. Inside behind the liner can be found a complete ''Cromwell'' manufacture paper label. The chinstrap is quite solid and i have not attempted to move it as its been in this position for number of years!
