WW1 Map Case with 1918 Dated ''Second Army MT Circuits'' Map. 4th Battle of Ypres.

This map case and map was purchased last week from a family member of the original owner. The case itself is in well used and grubby condition as expected from one used at the front with one of the hanging straps gone, all fixing poppers in working order and both inside plastic sleeves without cracks etc. Owners initials to the front. The most interesting item, IMHO, is the May 15th, 1918 dated map, giving details of Motor transport routes in the area of Ypres just after the German Attempt to push back allied forces into the sea failed. The map is complete but well used, again no surprise considering its use at the time, with some of the folds having ''gone through'' especially the corners, and the map is a bit stained. Also found in the map case was a WW1 period A.S.C. cap badge, of course this comes with the case and map. Im sorry to say the family member had no name to the owner but suggested that one relative did start up a major transport company in the 20's. Anyway i find this little ''woodwork'' find of interest and i do hope you will too.
