Model 1895 Prussian Artillery Picklehaube.

Black leather body has what i would call a nice overall crazing to the finish with with stronger crazing to both front visor and rear skirt. All brass fittings in my opinion show the same amount of patina and in good order. The period chinstrap again with brass mounts is supple and complete. Both side wappen disks are in very nice clean condition, are they period? well im 50/50 folks so please keep this in mind! Peak and rear skirt are solidly stitched to the body. The inside 9 tongue liner is supple but as seen the whole inside has taken on some minor spotting perhaps from storage issues, its my opinion that this will clean up with some care. Front shield is held on by replacement leather wedges held into the only, metal rimmed, holes found. Rear spine has two extra holes but this can be expected from the long length of service use of these M95 helmets. The top steel round disk has a scratched name and postcode to someone from the Canton area of Cardiff, its my opinion the disk was removed when the name was added. So we have a nice example, complete with matching hardware and nice to have its period chinstrap thats in need of some very minor TLC!
