Unit Marked Double Decal Luftwaffe M35, Large Size 68.

A well used DD Luftwaffe M35 steel helmet made by ET. The shell has had an extra coat of paint with added decals at some point in its life, original color seen in certain areas where the second coat has worn away, evidence of a first pattern Luftwaffe eagle under the paint and under the remains of the second pattern decal, same goes for the national shield. The paint finish remains at what i would rate at over 90% complete with the 2nd pattern eagle 40% complete, national shield has fragment remaining but showing the first issued example underneath. All liner pins are tight and have never been tampered with. The early single banded liner system is complete and supple with some wear evident from use with its original period liner string. Liner has a clear early leather circular stamp with maker and size. There is a name to the liner that i believe is the allied soldier who brought this home as its does not appear Germanic but thats only a guess folks. Inside dome has a clear unit ink stamp! The chinstrap in my opinion is its original early example thats in supple condition and been period shortened by the original owner. Chinstrap has been held over the front peak for many years. A well balanced helmet in a very large size .
