HMS Hood Casualty Medal Group. Kenneth Charles Bridges.
Kenneth Bridges was born in 1914 in Southhall, Middlesex . His service in the Royal navy was as an Ordinary Telegraphist and was lost with nearly all his fellow crew members when the Hood was sunk by the battleship Bismark on the 24th of May, 1941. His brother was also lost in 1944 aboard HMS Janus. The delivery box is named to the front to a Mrs A.J.Bridges, 17 Granville road, Colchester. Inside we find his three medals as entitled and his condolence medal slip with full name. This set belongs to a friend of mine who wishes me to sell for him, i believe he purchased them a number of years back. As for more details then please check the photos provided.
