WW2 Gordon Highlanders Officers Glengarry. Lieutenant Colonel William Savage.

A very nice Glengarry in used condition with just a couple of minor moth nips and a good amount of nap to the material. Silk edging is nice without damage and both tails are still factory attached. The inside lining again in used condition with the remains of a white WD and code stamp and a very faint makers stamp with what looks like a 1936 date. Attached to the cap is a nice officers Gordon Highlanders cap badge that in my opinion has been on the cap for many years, please see the photos for verdigris etc surrounding the badge and backing, also the inside fixing pin.I have not taken the badge off to see if its silver marked and have no intention of doing so folks! This comes from a friend who purchased this from the daughter of a Lieutenant Colonel William Savage apparently a fluent German speaker and involved in the Nuremberg Trails.
