German Fire Brigade NCO Sawback Side Arm. Eickhorn.

The blade with early Eickhorn trade mark stamp is very clean with minimal staining and sharp points and edges to the top sawback teeth. Cross guard and pommel again with minimal staining. Wood grip, without chips or cracks, retains all its black finish. The portee was found on this side arm so i presume its related, in good condition with some missing fabric to the wooden body. The leather scabbard has tight stitching with the bottom metal section stained, middle section and top has minimal staining and both period hanging rings. A nice early example dating from the early 30's! In my opinion this item will clean up even better as lots of the stains are on the surface, warm water with washing liquid would do.
