Interesting British Army Steel Helmet and Torch Relic. RELISTED DUE TO A TIME WASTER!.

Yep a relic found in the basement of a house in the Valleys of South Wales recently. The helmet is interesting as its one of those early Army issued examples with brown paint finish and early donut top pad liner system. Story goes that when the Army was brought back from Dunkirk the surviving helmets needed to be reused for civil defence use. The majority ive seen have at least the outside painted black etc or totally factory striped and refinished completely. This example has been left in its army color with a nice hand rendered ''W'' added to the front, not seen that before and im sure someone else will find this of interest! Condition is relic, id say over 50% of its army finish remains to the outside shell, hand painted letter to the front is complete but faded from time and bad storage. Inside is toast when it comes to finish as is the early pattern liner and chinstrap. Found with this helmet is the army torch, filters move slightly but toast again but comes with!
