Two Boer War Personal Letters, Surgeon RAMC G.Goldsmith.
Two complete letters sent home by a RAMC doctor to his mother in 1901 from Stationary Hospital Pietoria near Commando Nek. These are personal letters but do give a sense of life at the time with some action, life in the hospital, boredom, love rivals etc and as expected from such letters. I believe that the sender might well be a G.M.Mills, CBE, RAMC who in 1934 live in the Forest Hill area of Marlborough. Anyway its always nice to find such correspondence from the Boer War!
