WW2 German Water Bottle / Canteen. DMN-40.

A fairly nice example with the water bottle body dent free and felt cover having some minor staining with no moth nips or tracking. All side snaps are free with the inside having a clear ink stamp DMN40 matching the aluminium bottle and end cap. The complete leather cradle is in nice condition with some minor surface cracks to the ling end and one weak spot being the buckle end The leather strap holding the buckle is damaged under the retaining tab on the felt cover leaving it held on by the factory stitching only. Its not going to drop off but i would not use in the field over and over thats for sure but perfect if just using for display. The side of the aluminim bottle is stamped DMN-40 same as the screw cap and as mentioned the felt cover itself. Black aluminim cup is stamped ESB-36. A perfectly displayable example for sure.
