Scarce WW1 Dated Gurkha Issue MK2 Kukri. 1917 Dated.

Here we have a well used issue Mk2 Kukri with a clear maker and date stamp to one side of the blade. The just over 13 inch blade, total length of the kukri from end to end is 17 inches, has a good amount of staining with very little pitting, top spine has a few minor knocks. As expected the cutting edge has been sharpened on numerous occasions, this example retains a very sharp cutting edge. The full tang has both wooden grip plates riveted in place, these plates have lots of wear and a certain amount of chips and surface cracks, back end of the pommel is missing its steel end cap. For further details please check photos provided. Just noticed on the last photo that there appears to be a Broad arrow stamp and letters to the right of the makers stamp.
