WW2 Private Purchase Military Pattern Kukri.

The heavy 12 inch blade has a nice amount of its period finish mixed with some minor staining and scratches , no stamped details to either side. The wooden handle is held in place by the end of the rat tail tang peened over a top brass nut and back plate. The leather scabbard has seen good use with the tip missing and one back securing strap broken. I have seen these example types described as private purchase items usually purchased by Officers and have seen a number with this type of circular hole to the cutting edge.
