Medals and Paper Work Grouping. 32 Field Regiment Royal Artillery. Rhondda.
Nice complete grouping new to the market purchased by me from a family member, lady had no other info on this group as she did know this family member, found during the clearance of a deceased relative. The medals including the Italy star and France and Germany are mounted in a rough manner using drawing pins to a frame, loads of patina to all included and mounted in this manner for years. Included are his dog tags, pay book ,release book and various other documents related to his service. Also included is a large hand sewn RA insignia on cloth and always nice to find a photo of the owner in his battle dress. It would appear that Gunner Howells enlisted in 1942 in Newtown being released in 1946. His service trade was as a Batman. Good potential of research as the 32nd field regiment during Howells time frame served in Italy and then went through Europe after D-Day. Howells ended up in 1946 in the German town of Verden. Nice untouched grouping to a local South Wales fella.
