1939 Dated MK2 Factory Helmet. Player's Tobacco.

The 1938 dated shell and 1939 dated liner first left the factory as an early army helmet, the first coat of early brown military finish can be seen in ares of damage to the outside and the inner area under the liner. The helmet received a dark brown finish, now remaining at over 75%, and a ''Players'' factory decal to the front, remaining at over 80% complete. As seen in the photos the outside finish has numerous scratches and scrapes , no dents, and a number of stacking rings from other helmets being stored on top. The inner liner is complete with some supple areas mixed in with hardness, early donut pad is hard with no suppleness. Its my opinion going by the top and bottom nuts the liner and shell have always been together. Helmets comes with its complete dirty chinstrap , again its period issued example.
