M1917 Bayonet Fighting Knife Conversion.

The bayonet was a WW1 Remington 1917 bayonet with the blade professionally ground into a sharp tipped fighting blade. The top rifle fixing ring has again been ground off and interestingly the grips have been replaced by two nice 1907 pattern bayonet grips. Additionally found in the scabbard is a converted pistol cleaning rod with ground down pointed tip, presumably another fighting tool. The scabbard is made from different pieces of the same pebbled leather, sewn and glued with one additional pouch to the front top, now empty.
