Named 1916 Dated Compass and Pouch. Machine Gun Corps.

A very nice 1916 dated compass with its period leather pouch both named to a J.T.Scriven who was a member of the M.G.C. It would seem the compass was handed down, reused, on at least one occasion as there does appear to be at least two other names written to the lid of the case, at least one being another member of the M.G.C. I would rate the condition of both items as very good, case has seen plenty of use with tight stitching. The compass, dial swivels, case is without damage, complete with what appears to be some sort of illuminating rod on the glass above the dial, fist time ive seen this interesting addition. All in all a very nice named , dated and Regimentally marked!
