3 X RAF Flying Gloves including ''D-Type'' Leather Gauntlets. Derrick Norrington DFM. KIA 1943.
A well used set of gloves once belonging to Navigator Sgt Dennis Norrington who flew in Lancasters during WW2 being shot down in 1943. The D-Type gauntlets are heavy with staining with one hole to the right side thumb top, both have black stained RAF stores labels inside with details gone, tight stitching. The white cloth Aircrew inner gauntlets again with some staining and are size stamped 2. Lastly we have Norrington's inner silk flying gloves with numerous holes from years of use. From the damage i would suggest Norrington was right handed. If your needing mint examples then this three gove set is not for you, if wishing something that is well used and without doubt used by an Aircrew member whilst flying ops then this set is perfect.
