REME Converted WW2 Canadian Battledress Blouse and Side Cap.

The blouse has been converted from a WW2 Canadian example having the collar opened and taken in for a sharper look. All insignia is hand sewn to the blouse and are period to the garment. Clearly seen inside is a large Canadian "C" with broad arrow but the other printed details have faded or a very weak print from the start. A tailors label can be found to the neck. Found with the blouse is a nice WW2 REME side cap with Kings Crown badge and GS front buttons. The cloth badges would suggest this set being converted for an instructor before the introduction of the 49 pattern BD. The conversion is quite a crude but interestingly there was a small tailors called Crick working from a small shop in the village of Aberkenfig during the period and earlier. This set was recently found in the Cardiff area. As for condition id say very good with just a couple of minor moth nips and slight wear to the nap. I must add that both cap and blouse have different service numbers and name.
