British Regular Army Red Book and Photos. WW1 and WW2 Service.
John Buckmaster, born 1898 with service number 7257848, served during WW1 in the RASC and in Europe with the RAMC. He decided to re-enlist in 1924 with his old corps, RAMC. He was transferred to the reserve in 1932 after 7 years. He trained in first aid and ambulance duties. Red book fully filled out with all Buckmaster's information including his WW1 medal entitlement. Interestingly this old soldier decided his country needed him once again as shown by the photos found inside the service document wallet with Buckmaster in Battledress and what appears to be a RASC cap badge and North Africa ribbon. The two "skill at arms" booklets do not belong to Buckmaster but found inside the sleeve so perhaps a relative of sorts. Nice set to an old soldier who stepped up at a time of crisis.
