WW1 French Souvenir Letter Opener. Turkish Campaign.

An interesting and well made French WW1 letter opener souvenir of the Turkish campaign. Handle body is a spent cartridge with the addition of two French Artillery buttons with the crossguard being constructed from two spent bullets. The sheath is a complete bullet with case bent at the rear to slip over the blade, to the centre is a Turkish military button. It surprised me that French forces fought against Turkish troops in the Dardanelles including Gallipoli and the Solonika theatre.
