Iron Cross 2nd Class, Ring Stamp 40.
Last of the three EK2's that i purchased from the brother of the vetran who brought them back from Germany. This one has 99% of its original finish to the iron core and the frame has some frosting remaining to front and back, the ring stamp is clear under a loop, number 40 for the Berg and Nolte firm, the ribbon again is one for the war merit cross but im selling as i found the item.
WW2 German Boxed NSDAP Long Service Award, 10 Year
This boxed award is in very nice condition, its an unmarked zinc made example and as usual the finish has sunk into the body, the medal has no knocks or marks. The ribbon is the original example from the box. The box itself is again in nice condition but the bottom corner has come loose, quite an easy repair, its RZM and maker coded to the back. A good all round example.
Boxed RAD 4 Year Service Medal.
An original example thats in very nice condition indeed, the box is in near perfect condition except for some markings from storage, the medal has 100% of its original finish, ribbon again perfect and still has its fixing pin to the top. It would take you a very long time to upgrade this one.
WW1 Imperial Boxed Iron Cross 2nd Class.
Very nice example iron cross with original ribbon and medal bar version added to the ribbon. The medal is in very good condition with over 95% of its original black paint to the iron center, frame again in sound condition, ribbon has some storage wear. The inside of the box is in very nice condition, some staining to the inside top. Now we come to the box itself, it has at some point been covered with a black waterproof type material, not a bad job but its a re-cover, this covering does appear to have age, perhaps it could be removed but i was not going to have a go myself as it looks just fine.
Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge, Arno Wallpach.
Another unmarked Assault badge by the firm Arno Wallpach, this is a better example with a good most of the blue paint remaining to the clouds and lightning strike, most of the silver finish to the oakleaf surround has dissapeared into the metal, back has a good working pin and catch.
WW2 First Class Iron Cross Field Conversion.
Neat field converted 2nd class iron cross made into a screw back made into a first class screw back example. The cross has had a srew post added to the back with a washer and brass retaining nut. At one point the cross has had two small holes punched thru the front then soldered closed . There seems to be two reasons for this, it was either sewn to a tunic or the hole were used to attatch two small posts to stop the cross from turning when being worn. Its an interesting item and worthy IMO of adding to a collection.
