German Imperial Naval Tankard, Ship Went Down At J
Great looking tankard to crew members of the Imperial Battleship, S.M.S. POMMERN, this ship was lost a few years later during the famous WW1 naval battle of Jutland . Tankard has some wonderfull design fetures such as the naval persons in 2D relife ,as is the head on the handle. Around the printed ship design the tankard is hand painted, names of the crew are on both sides, makes me wonder how many did re-enlisted when WW1 began to be back with there ship. Going all around the metal lid are naval battle picture, but im afraid the top feature has gone to time, a gun perhaps? No other damage to this item, rest is in wonderfull condition, maker marked impressed to the china bottom.
Minty WW1 German Water Bottle
A very good condition German military water bottle with no issues, maker and dated to the rear cover, all leather is in supple working order, cloth cover with no moth holes or tracking, the only issue i can see is a slight blister to the enamel top of the waterbottle itself. date seems to be 1918 but hard to make out. Very hard to upgrade this one.
WW1 German G98 Leather Rifle Sling
Quite a scarce example of a WW1 marked G98 rifle sling. The condition is very good, the leather is supple but i belive it has been ''fed'' in the past. The leather is strong, some cracking seen in the pictures but this is only surface cracking, nothing deep. Leather has the cross hatching seen on originals and is regiment marked JR164. All in all a fine example of a rifle sling that does not turn up often.
