3rd Pattern Commando Dagger.
A well used example with the blade having staining , minor pitting and a light sharpen. The blade has lost its fine tip but nothing that would not be seen on many used WW2 period daggers. The alloy grip still has a good amount of its copper flashing and a clear mold number 2 to the top of the pommel. Top pommel nut is made of brass. In very nice condition with the outer wreath having over 90% of its period gilt finish, central design has lost its silver wash but waves are fine. The rear has its period hardware, fits with pieces made by Deumer, but the fixing pin has come adrift, hinge swivels.. Not a hard job to repair folks. read more
