In very nice condition with no moth holes but some minimal moth tracking. Both insigna match not only in material, felt, but also in fading so in my opinion period applied. The set is in overall nice condition.The box has some minor minor scuffing, front button and back hinge are in working condition. Inside is complete with its cloth hinge and slight foxing and a clear makers stamp. British Boer War Period Medical Chest.
In used condition with the Khaki waterproof material having some heavy staining to one side at the top, perhaps from being carried. One side has come adrift at the top frame. The heavy webbed strap is held in place with three metal plates one being marked to SGT J.Norris, M.S.C.
