WW1 1917 Dated British Binoculars and Leather Case.
Paris made binoculars as supplied to British troops during WW1 still held in there period 1917 dated case with carry strap. The binoculars are well used with the leather covering being re stitched, one shower protector loose with the other tight. The focus is sharp and the image clear with no growth. Hand made pair of knives with the handles being constructed from rings of leather, aluminium and hard plastic similar to the handles found produced ''in theater'' by serving soldiers. Cross guards are made from brass, larger example, and aluminium on the smaller one. British Army Coloured Field Service Side Cap
In very nice condition, no cap badge ever added, front buttons are plain , toned black from patina. Inside has a nice Lock & Co tailors label. Cap will need a good airing due to being stored in a shed for a number of years. read more
