British Boer War Blue Enamel Water Bottle.

The metal blue enamel bottle is in nice condition without dents and all the finish to the body, only chips i can see happens to the side brackets for the leather hanging sling. The top has its period screw cap, fits perfectly and tight. The blue enamel color is a good amount darker than in my photos.  read more

1944 Dated Soldiers New Testament with 1946 Dated German Written Sentiment.

A 1944 dated YMCA soldiers New Testament ,complete but with a corner fold, that in 1946 received a hand written sentiment written in German to the inside cover. I think the sentiment is a quote from some Biblical text, signed by the German on the bottom. Interesting piece of social history considering the non fraternization laws in occupied Germany at this point.  read more
