This is the second of two example i purchased, both having been in very nice condition as seen in the photos. The paint finish inside and out rate at nearly 100%. In good condition with a great shape with the cloth body having a certain amount of nap wear and minor moth tacking to the pipping, this will not be noticed in the photos. Imperial German Jager zum Pferde Dunkelblau,Cavalry Visor Cap.
In good condition with a fairly clean white top and green band. There are a couple of minor moth nips, hard to see in the photos. The liner is good with plenty of wear to the sweatband, no makers details. Wehrpass, Heer, 1/Pionier- Battalion 158 , KIA Leningrad ,Russian Front.
The book is in very nice complete condition, he joined in Luneburg in 1939 serving with Pioneer-Ersatz Battalion 20 then battalion 158 who where sent to the Russian Front. In July 41 he was KIA serving with his unit in a town called Iwanowka on the outskirts of Leningrad, written in his book as Petersburg.
