This example came to me as i was passing an open garage in the Valleys with a handfull of bayonets, the owner was interestd in what i was doing and then offered me this boot knife that had been hanging with his tools on the wall. 3rd Pattern Commando Dagger, Broad Arrow 3 Marked.
Nice clean 3rd pattern with nice bronze finish remaining to the grip, 1 stamped to the top and a clear broad arrow followed by 3 to the cross guard. The hand forged blade would appear to have had a clean at some point, no major sharpening. The 3rd pattern scabbard is nice sna supple with its elastic complete to the top, rear wings have been cut off.
