French Adrian M26 Helmet and Cover. Algiers/Indo C
A very well preserved super condition French M26 and cover with the helmet having all its period finish intact, stackinjg ring around the shell. The inside paint again at 100% with the liner in supple condition as is the chinstrap. Found with the helmet is its original cloth cover.
Turkish WW1 Ottoman-Empire Belt Buckle and Leather
In very nice untouched condition with only one minor knock to the central plate, brass body has not been polished, the rear has a ''period'' repair to the catch. This buckle still has its leather tab stitched to the cross bar at the rear, no markings. A very nice example and even better with its period tab.
Imperial Infantry Regiment 56 Shoulder Board and S
Nice souvenir to Regiment 56 in the form of a glass paperweight and the veterans period 56 shouder board. The paperweight is in very nice condition, no cracks or chips. The board is nice condition having discoloured over the years but no moth nips or tracking.
WW1 Durham Light Infantry Brodie Helmet Shell.
Relic? Well its had a hard life and has seen some action but the outside shell has a good amount of its original rough finish intact, lets say 70%, the inside has lost its finish to the crown but most has survived around the rim. The front stencilled DLI badge is very clear with slight damage to the crown area, appears this area has had a slight wipe with a damp cloth to clear away some of the build up of verdigri on top of the stencil. This is a late war pattern brodie with added rim. This was recently found by a freind in a North German flee market on the Dutch border, souvenired by a German veteran? Who knows, still nice to find a Regimentally marked Brodie. The money shots folks are numbers 8 and 9 in the photo section.
Welsh Regiment Pith Helmet and Cover.
Welsh Regiment Wolseley pith helmet thats in super condition. The outside material is still strong with no sun fading, no snags and no crushing, only the slightest of storage marks. The cloth edgeing is again in very good order with only one very small fray to the front centre area, lets say under 2mm. The leather chinstrap is complete and in supple condition. The Welsh Reg flash as expected with the condition of the helmet is very good. Inside leather sweat band is named to the firm Linnely of London and has a faint owners name written on the other side, undeneath there is a faint stamping but cannot make it out, its still supple and in very nice order. Inside dome silver linning is in complete condition. With this helmet came a WD marked Cover that again is in very nice condition, i belive it dates from 1942/43. There is no date stamp to the helmet itself but from the construction i would place this example being made and issued around 1943.
British Airborne Maroon Para Beret.
1945 dated Artillery Officers para beret thats in good displayable condition, the only issues are the moth nips to the beret body along the bottom just above the leather band, looks as if this was done due to the beret being laid flat for a number of years. The inside has a clear 1945 date and makers details. Beret itself appears to have little use. This item came from the same source as the marron beret listed previously having belonged to Captain John Marshal, details of this veteran can be found in its description.
