British Torches Pocket,No1.
I myself have never come across these before so cannot give you any info on them, would appear to be of use map reading going by the small apeture and orange colour to the lens. Anyway here you have a boxed example, one side has some slight rust bleed to the body, on/off switch in working order.
British 1940 Dated Ammo Boots.
Very nice early dated ammo boots in very nice condition, supple leather body, complete leather soles with hob nails, the lose of the front cleet to one boot only, size marked. The only small issue is the wear to one side going thru the top leather only, perhaps motorbike rider, vehicle crewman or a soldier who really did like to salute on the parade ground. To the inside is a very clear makers mark and large 1940 date. The size is 7.
Indian BD and Trousers, Military Goverment, SEAC S
Uniform set to an NCO in the RAMC who was attatched to the Military Goverment Singapore District. From the theatre made SEAC titles incorporated with the lion formation patch suggest this BD being used around 1946/7 when No 2 Area SEAC was transfered over to the Singapore District Command. The indian made jacket is dated 1942 and has been tailored at the back, condition is very good with a couple of moth nips and a small hole to the back, enough to stick t my small finger in. All insignia has been machine sewn to a backing of BD material and then machine stitched onto the battle dress. The trousers again are of Indian manufacture and are in very nice condition except for another small hole to the crotch area, these are dated 1943, a matching set in my opinion. The only name has been blacked out which is a pity as i would suggest the owner was a veteran of WW2 before being attatched to the General Goverment.
RAF Officers Ranked KD Tunic and Trousers.
A very nice clean example with both trousers and tunic in matching colour. The tunic has ranked shoulder boards and a very nice set of pilots wings stitched above the left pocket, wings are a nice silk type with neat detail. Tunic has bottom bellow pockets and a black stamping to the inside. The trousers are again in very clean condition with a red stamping to the inside. No damage to either garment, all buttons present.
York and Lancaster General Headquarters India Batt
In super clean condition with very nice and scarce embroided Y&L titles to the shoulder boards, the crowns are locally made examples and the formation patch again appear to be hand made example. The BD jacket has numerous Indian stamps to the inside. Again the BD trousers are in mint condition with a number of Indian stamps. Both are a good large size. May i add that there is no eveidence of any moth damage to either the jacket or trousers.
WW2 Polish Medal Group.
Nice to find a Polish medal group that has just come into me from a family member, its well used and would appear to have been worn on many occasions. So there is plenty of wear to all and a couple of chips to the enamel merit cross. The three Polish medals relate to Polands freedom wars of the 1920's and this individual earned the Polish Independence medal for his service. . As with quite a few Polish soldiers fighting with the British he must have been a good age when going thru Germany.
