WW2 American Army Garrison Visor Cap.
Cap displays very well with a nice condition olive drab outer body with one or two tiny moth nips, say the size of a pin head. The leather peak is in sound condition as is the chinstrap and rear neck strap, only damage is to the left hand side chinstrap retaining loop. Nice die struck national emblem to the front. The inside lining is in sound condition with cap details printed to the centre underneath the sweat shield, the liner as seen in the photos has suffered and one part is missing but as mentioned it displays very well.
American M1 Front Seam, Fixed Bail ,Netted Combat
Ive had this one on my shelf for some time but with some new additions to my German combat lids it needs a new home. The front seam fixed bail shell has nearly all its original rough drab green finish exept for the crown area were the net has a hole, most probably from being placed on the ground throught its combat life. The rest of the net is in very nice condition. No fracture stress cracks to the shell. The Westinghouse marked liner has most of its original paint finish and the inside webbing is in used but complete condition, webbed straps have slight wear around the bales from use.Leather liner chinstrap is loose as i didnt want to damage it from being over the front lip. This example would appear to have never been messed with and in what i would call ''sleeper'' condition.
US Army M3 Colt Auto Shoulder Holster.
A decent M3 shoulder holster, condition is very good, supple leather, makers details and 1943 date stamped to the rear, the usual large ''US'' to the front can just be made out on this well used example. Its missing its bottom belt loop, appears to have been cut under close inspection, full length shoulder strap with a neat bonus of bullet loops professionally added. Perfect display item.
Japanese Naval Vehicle Brass Anchor Plate.
Neat find last week from the Cardiff area is this Brass plate used to identify vehicles from the Japanese navy, these were bolted to the front of tanks, trucks and motorcycles around the area of the licence plate. This example is in very good condition with no issues, ive added a couple of pictures of such plates being used by the Jap navy, on the motorcycle picture you can see the anchor just behind the fender licence plate.
Luftwaffe Cloth Qualification Badge, Air Gunner.
Nice scarce example of a cloth Air Gunners Qualification badge, condition is very nice indeed with most of its black paper backing remaining, the missing paper reveals the padding used in the centre of the badge. This was brought into me, with more Lufty insignia, by the grandson of a British veteran who brought the items back home. Never been in a collection before.
Rare Sawback German KS98 Extrawaffen Bayonet and
Sawback version of the 'extrawaffen' bayonet in very good condition, no makers mark. This is the long version for enlisted men, Handle has two steel rivets, no damage to the grip. Finish to the blade, pommel and quillion in very good bright condition but does have some service ware. The frog is i belive Austrian or Czech which would fit as thousands of these were reissued during WW2. Rare bayonet that dont turn up very often. Was priced at £325
Rare British WW2 ''BREECHES CLIMBING'' 1945 Date
Very rare pair of nearly mint condition WW2 British climbing breeches, these are dated 1945 and are a size No5. These have been adapted at the bottom of the legs for a tighter fit around the climbing socks worn with such trousers. These do not turn up very often and in this condition are a perfect addition to any British uniform collection. Was priced at £235
