German Naval High Seas Fleet Award
Non maker marked High Seas Fleet award that in very good condition, the bronze wash has gone from the surrounding wreath but a good amount remains to the central battleship. The rear has a good working , strong pin and a good catch to the bottom. I cannot remember the maker from the back design but its one that doesnt turn up often. A nice example.
WW2 Canadian Pilots Log Book
Wartime logbook for a pilot who trained in America from April 1943 Passing around October 1944, seems to have managed to enter the war and done service Ops on Wellingtons with Squadron 621 moving onto Squadron 525 flying Dakotas, serving Africa and far east, book ends in 1946 when he was flying for Squadron 46. Looks like half thr book is filled. His name was D.Myatt, service number-1684755..
All Brass, Deumer Made, WW1 Iron Cross 2nd Class.
1920's produced iron cross made by the firm of ''Deumer'', this three part constructed cross is made of brass, thats the frame and core. As seen from the pictures there is a good amount of the original black finish to the core and a good amount of silver wash remaining to the frame, i belive the ring is a replacment. An attractive example and a good addition to any iron cross collection.
8 Year SS Long Service Medal.
SS long service medal for 8 years with its original full length of blue ribbon, the condition is just wonderfull, a super amount of its original dark finish remains with most of its original gold highlights. Medal has a couple of tiny edge knocks, seen under a loop, this i would expect from an item of this age. Tear drop hanging loop is undamaged as is the recessed top ring. From the stipple pattern to the body of the medal id say this is a 'Deschler' made item. As mentioned this item is in super condition and would be very hard to upgrade.
Boxed WW2 Iron Cross First Class.
Very nice boxed iron cross, the cross has a toned frame with an iron centre that has 99% of its black finish remaining, some spidering. The rear hardware is strong and working, the cross is unmarked, some of the original finish still found to the rear frame. The box is also in very good condition, good working hing and round front opening button, one slight mark to the front, left off the central cross. A very nice example.
Norwegian Double Decal M42 Combat Helmet.
German M42 model helmet , makers details stamped to the rear. The helmet has been refurbished by the Norwegian army by having a green colour painted inside and out, the original German leather liner has had the usual coating of brown and sized stamped, one end of a broken chinstrap remains. The paint i would rate at over 80% to the outside and inside, it has a nice patina over the entire helmet. The decals i would say are nearly 90% complete. The liner pins are tight but do not have there washers, this is something i have found with these reissued lids. A sound example.
